Departing my home in Staten Island, New York City, after waiting for two year for my new adventure on two wheelsI actually went to school for a quick meeting. I am now officially on my way to the West Coast with a quick stop in Syracuse that nightMy friend Atahualpa and I. We studied together high school in Venezuela and now he lives in Syracuse, NY.Wow! Where was Walt Disney when this happened? My bike broke down equidistant to the two major towns in South Dakota, Rapid City and Sioux Falls. As a BMWMO member put it, I wasn't in the middle of nowhere, as I thought, but from where I was standing "I could see it!". Almost four hours, 200 miles, and $400 later I found the closest BMW dealership in Sturgis, SD.I visited Mount Rushmore right after I left the BMW shop with my new $450 alternator and diode board.Leaving South Dakota. It is a beautiful place but I needed to get to Seatle, ideally by the following day. Problem is that I was 1,300 miles away from the Pacific Coast and my girlfriend arrived to Seattle from Miami that day to meet meCrossing the border between South Dakota and Wyoming
