(Summer 2000) - Bringing to Spain his comfortable BMW R100
from the U.S., Muñoz completed his most comprehensive trip to date
through
14 European countries. This learning experience through the Old Continent
provided him with the first taste of true motorcycle traveling. Numerous adventures
and delightful roads hooked Jorge for good to this unique way of doing tourism.
Some of the countries visited were Spain, France,
England, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Austria,
and Hungary. After dealing with a broken-down bike in more than 7 occassions,
embarking on 8 different ferries, improvising imaginative sign language in
unfamiliar countries, and learning to deal and thrive in new cultures, Jorge
returned to the U.S. already thinking about his next trip on two wheels. Accompanied
by only his motorcycle for almost four months and through more than 9,500
miles, this trip proved to be a challenging one without a doubt.
